The Diamond award is the highest accolade that a venue can achieve. Located near White River in Mpumalanga, and in its 32ndAnniversary Year, this stands testament to the attention to detail your clients will receive when visiting this 5* lodge. Barbara Jeffries (Owner), Annemie Parker (General Manager) and Anja van Schalkwyk (resident sommelier and wine fundi) are the three masterminds behind this success. Cybele Joins Prestigious Chaîne des Rôtisseurs
Cybele’s General Manager, Annemie Parker, and new Head Chef, Grant Parker, have both been invited to join Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, the prestigious international gastronomic society committed to promoting fine dining, hospitality and the expertise of its members.
Grant Parker has joined Cybele as Executive Head Chef. His impressive career includes working with global travel brands across three continents.
Grant’s ‘philosophy of cooking’ is underpinned by using the freshest ingredients, ensuring the natural flavors are savored and not over-complicating dishes.
Chaîne des Rôtisseurs – an international society devoted to choice dining and the camaraderie of the table.
Chaîne des Rôtisseurs creates bonds of friendship across cultures and boundaries. It promotes the art of fine cuisine amongst both amateur and professional gastronomes, and supports the development of young culinary professionals.
Chaîne des Rôtisseurs is an international gastronomic society founded in Paris in 1950. It is devoted to promoting fine dining and the pleasures of the table through the social interaction, hospitality and expertise of its members.
The Brass Plaque
On recommendation from the Bailli and the Bailliage Committee, a Blazon (i.e. large brass plaque) may be awarded to a professional member who is the owner or executive chef (Grant Parker) of a dining establishment that maintains a superb level of cuisine, service and hospitality, as required by the exacting standards of Chaîne des Rôtisseurs internationally.
It is essential that the establishment’s support services and facilities must be excellent too. It must own a grill or a revolving spit, and grilled or roasted meat must be available on the menu.
The Brass Plaque can be displayed outside or within the establishment. Since it is offered only to the finest restaurateurs and hoteliers, the plaque proclaims excellence in food and service. Professional members may also use the Chaîne logo on menus, brochures or in news releases so long as it is accompanied by the member’s name, Chaîne title, and the legend “Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs.”
